The gap

You were taught the treatment. Nobody taught you the business.

Your training covered anatomy, contraindications, technique and safety, properly and at length. Somewhere in that fee was nothing at all about pricing, capacity, positioning or cash.

That is not one academy's oversight. It is how the sector is built. Clinical training teaches the clinical. The business half was never anybody's job, and practitioners are left to work it out alone, usually expensively.

You were never doing it wrong. You were handed one part of the job and left to work the rest out on your own.

What you get

The method

Six pillars, eighteen strands

Everything taught here sits somewhere deliberate. Nothing is a tip.

Pillar I

Foundation

Positioning, market insight, business design

Pillar II

Profitability

Cost structure, pricing architecture, financial control

Pillar III

Attraction

Audience building, message and content, demand generation

Pillar IV

Conversion

Consultation craft, sales conversation, offer structure

Pillar V

Retention

Client experience, loyalty and lifetime value, service recovery

Pillar VI

Freedom

Systems and standardisation, team and delegation, strategic direction

Who this is for

Anyone whose income depends on an hour and a room

  • Aesthetics and injectables
  • SPMU, brows and lashes
  • Laser and IPL
  • Advanced skin and peels
  • Weight management
  • Massage and bodywork
  • Body contouring
  • Nails and hair removal

Whether that hour sits in a clinic, a rented room, a salon chair or the back of your car. The frameworks do not change. Only the examples do.

The deck

Every framework you learn becomes a card

More than a hundred of them across the programme, one for each idea, each earned by doing the work rather than watching a video about it.

VI

Small Business Management

Michael Gerber, 1986

The technician who is brilliant at the work assumes that makes them able to run the business built around it. Gerber's answer is to work on the business rather than in it, which begins with writing down what only lives in your head.

Normally taught at: small business management and entrepreneurship programmes

Gerber wrote it about bakeries. It has never once failed to describe a clinic.

GP

What is on a card

  • The framework, named in plain English
  • Who worked it out, and in what year
  • The field it comes from, and where it is normally taught
  • The pillar and strand it belongs to
  • The national occupational standards it maps to, on the reverse

You collect the fronts here, one a week, free. The reverse carries the origin, the theory and the standards mapping. That side arrives with the printed deck when you enrol on the Glow Mastery Programme.

Who writes it

Somebody still in a treatment room on a Thursday

I run a clinic. Every framework taught here was tested there first, on real numbers, with real consequences when it did not work.

I write these because nobody wrote them for me. I learned this side of it slowly, and expensively, in the gaps between clients. The intention is that you do not have to.
